Dr. Arianna Sholes-Douglas
Arianna Sholes-Douglas, MD, FACOG is the founder and visionary of Tula Wellness, PLLC. She has practiced medicine for over 20 years and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. As a graduate of the University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine Fellowship, founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Arianna combines her extensive knowledge in women’s health with the field of integrative medicine. Dr. Arianna specializes in integrative women’s health, a subspecialty of gynecology that incorporates evidenced-based alternative medical therapies to promote healing, recognizes that several factors (mind, body, and spirit) contribute to wellness, and honors a patient-centered approach and healing partnerships between patient and physician.
Dr. Arianna Sholes-Douglas is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO where she majored in African and African-American Studies and Biology, and minored in Spanish. She is a graduate of Meharry Medical College of Nashville, TN and completed her residency and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship in her hometown of Los Angeles, CA at MLK Medical Center and UCLA School of Medicine, respectively. Early in her medical career she developed and directed the High Risk Pregnancy Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She subsequently served as the associate director of the division of maternal-fetal medicine at Sinai Medical Center in Baltimore, Md.
She moved to Tucson in 2007 and joined Obstetrix Medical Group. After practicing as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist for 20 years, she retired from obstetrics and currently devotes her career to managing peri-menopausal and menopausal women. Dr. Sholes-Douglas has served as clinical faculty at UCLA, University of Maryland, and Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine.
In 2016, Dr. Arianna was recognized for her innovation and vision in women’s health by Inside Tucson Business as first place recipient in the category of outstanding women’s health.

Dr. Arianna has been conducting retreats and seminars for women since she age 20 as a college student. She has always had a passion to interact with and guide women through all life stages of life. Women are empowered, connected, and healed in community during her “Getting Into the G.A.P” and “Creating Balance in Everyday Life” retreats. She has conducted small group seminars at national women’s conferences and resorts such as Westward Look and Miraval. Her signature lectures include “Getting Unstuck, 10 Small Steps to Big Life Change”, “What’s Stress Got To Do With It?” and “Women, Wellness, and Wisdom”.
Dr Arianna has made numerous appearances on the Discovery Health Channel and served as the “Woman’s Dr.” on Baltimore’s NBC news affiliate. She has offered expert advice and published in several publications including DrWeil.com, Fit Pregnancy, Good Housekeeping, and Essence Magazine.
She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a diplomate of the American Board of OB/Gyn and maternal-fetal medicine. Dr. Sholes-Douglas, MD is a member in good standing of many organizations including the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM). Dr. Arianna is married with 2 children and lives in Tucson, AZ.
